Latest Newsletter & Lots of progress on the sold sections

In our latest monthly newsletter we update all that has been going on in the subdivision since the last newsletter and it has been a real hive of activity with lots of progress being made on the individual sections.

We are now completed about 90% of all the post and rail fences. From memory there have been about 440 posts driven and over 2 kilometres of rails put up.

It is very satisfying work and helps identify boundaries.

On the fishing front we got scallops one day last week and although they have turned past their peak the taste is still amazing.

There has also been a surfcasting completion in the region for the last couple of weeks with reports of reasonable catches and our grandson got the 2nd heaviest Kahawai in the Junior category.

The trees are a picture in the stormwater reserve surrounding the sub division and its been a long time since I have seen cabbage trees and the flaxes flowering so prolifically. We now have the first red glimpses of our Pohutakawa’s Trees about to flower. With this we know Christmas is close.

Lot 1

The owners have a slab down for their future shed and it is not alone

The slab now holds a 20Ft Container, a 12m2 studio unit and water tank, soon to be joined by a caravan.

Sounds like some time at the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland.

Lot 2

Huge progress for the owners here. Not one but 2 new transportable homes sitting on piles waiting for the huge decking connecting both homes to be finished in the next 2 weeks. The shed is finished and even lined with a nice run of plywood.

The site will be really busy up until Christmas but it will be worth it to fulfil Clive and Lyn’s vision of a great 6 bedroom multi generational family holiday home to again get to the beach away from the busyness of Auckland.

Lot 3

The owners have been busy. A beautiful tiny home (certainly a lot bigger than our thoughts of a tiny home ) and sleepout are on site and in position. A big shed site has been cut out and I believe the shed has already been consented.

The site has had a lot of earthworks done and from what I am told and have seen the multiple deck and step levels will be stunning. There is even talk of a pool going in amongst the decks.

Lot 4

All the South boundary and most of the East boundary is now post and railed and doing so identifies potential areas for gardens, fruit trees and tree planting.

Lot 5

Further preparations have been made and planning for the building site earthworks for the shed and house platforms to get underway next month.

The grass has been growing rampantly but we have managed to keep on to of it with the trusty Massey Ferguson!
